Marcial Rios Salcido is an award winning filmmaker. He started as head writer and producer for the Imagen award winning music channel, LATV. He also developed and produced Se Habla Rock for MUN2 a division of NBC/Universal. Rios has written, produced and directed all of his projects, including his current work, Maquillaje, and his thesis film, La Tierra del Dolor. His films have been official selections of numerous film festivals nationwide and at an international level. His honors and awards include Best Stage Play for Los Fieles, and a spot at Film Independent's "Project: Involve" as a writer/director. His screenplay, Valentine's Switchblades, was chosen to be part of the Killer Scripts List, and he won Best Director at Cine Sin Fin 2007 for Maquillaje. Marcial is currently finishing a new screenplay, The Gambling Souls of Jonas and Nina.
